Here are some pictures of our first house. Our house was built in 2001 and is a traditional eastcoast townhome (or row home if you prefer.) Not many townhomes out here have garages but luckily this one has a two car garage as well as a yard in the back. It is definitely not our dream home (I don’t think our dream home exists out East) but it was very well maintained and so far has been just perfect for our needs right now. We have had lots of fun moving in and doing projects. Enjoy the visual tour!
OUR FIRST HOME!
Our first project when we bought our home was to clean and seal our garage floor. We also decided to paint the walls of our garage. It was a good first project and it turned out great. Got to love a clean and organized garage….right Grandpa ;-) I don’t have before pictures but it was very dirty, stained and needed a lot of work.
Looking in from the house.
Our cubby hole where we organize all of our new toys.
Dave putting together some of those “toys".”
Here are some pictures of the interior before we painted and carpeted…
The “interesting” basement colors
Basement
I count…one, two, THREE different colors.

Mid-level powder room

It is hard to tell in this pic, but the kitchen was a bright “baby blanket yellow”. We choose to darken the yellow a little bit when we painted and not make it so bright.
Here are some pictures of the rest of the townhouse and post-paint and carpet pictures:
Mid-level. This level has great hardwood floors and a nice open space. We did not change this color.
Front foyer and entrance.
Another view of the mid-level
Coat closet on mid-level next to front door.
Master bedroom. The previous color in this room was white and we changed it to “toffee.” I love the vaulted ceilings in the room. This pictures also shows our new carpet.
Huge walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Well…I thought it was huge until I got all of our clothes in there.
Another view of the master bedroom.
View of the master bathroom. The color was previously white and we changed it to “calming grey.”
View of the shower and tub in the master bathroom! LOOVEE the tub.
View of guest bedroom #1. This room was previously yellow and had “Cars” wall paper on it. We had the painters paint this a color called “modest white” and we ended up hating the color. Dave and I repainted it ourselves and it is much better now!
Another view of guest bedroom #1.
Looking down from the top level.
The 1974 washer and dryer combo the previous owners left us. I thought we could make it work…but we decided to get some newer and more energy efficient ones. (I have yet to take a pic of them yet though).
The new basement! We decided to go for a very cozy and comfortable color for the “Man Cave.” My accent color will be deep purple.
Another view of the basement.
Going upstairs to the mid-level.
The new color for the downstairs bathroom…its called “otter.”
The new darker “yellow” for the kitchen.
The new color for the mid-level powder room. My accent colors will be deep red and white.
Up or down?
Picture of guest bedroom #2. We did not change the color in this room.
Another view of guest bedroom #2.
Here are some pictures of the outside…
View out of the windows of guest bedroom #1
View of the garden the previous owners put in.
Our deck! It needs a little TLC, but it is still a really nice deck. Good thing I have experience in staining/painting decks ;-).
I took this picture standing on our deck. This building is the apartment building we moved out of. The window in the middle of the picture that is on the 2nd floor was our master bedroom.
Area underneath our deck.
Gate to the new fence!
Yard for the puppies!
Another view.
Thanks Daddio for our AWESOME house warming gift. We LOVE it.
Our new grill. We have already had some awesome meals on it!
