Recently my Grandpa took a bad spill on his bike when he was on his way to pick up his mail in Arizona.
Luckily he came out the fall with only a fractured hip and some bad bruises. It could have definately been much worse. Nonetheless he was in a lot of pain and uncomfort.
For the last few weeks he has been at a rehab facility in AZ. My Grandma and family in AZ have been taking good care of him.
So...to Grandpa: Rest up and get better! We love and miss you and can't wait to have a wonderful trip in Grand Lake this Summer! Keep working hard and remember that eventually all the "baby steps" add up!
To Grandma: We love and miss you too! I'm sure you are taking good care of Grandpa, but remember to take good care of yourself as well. Can't wait to see you again! (P.S---> I love the cookbook you sent me for Christmas!)

Thanks for the wonderful letter and Grandpas picture-- he is home as of today--walks with a cane-- has some pain-- he has come a long ways in one month-- the young girls at the nursing home loved him-- he got really good care-- extra treats at night-- extra food and ect. It will be several more weeks before he can get back to normal-- I'm glad you like the cookbook--your quiche dishes soooooo good Love, Grandma
