We’ve been saying all winter…..”Where’s the snow!” Well, it came yesterday….lot’s of it! Yesterday morning we got a little over 3 inches, which was plenty to close down all the schools. Later in the afternoon though it started to rain and melted it all. Dave and I were out running errands and we decided to go to the grocery store and stock up on some food because we heard that it was supposed to start snowing at 6pm again. When we left the store at 4:30pm it was already starting to snow. It snowed SO hard all night long and produced a good foot or more of snow. Around 8:30pm we got on our snow stuff like two excited kids and went out and played in the snow. The dogs loved it! Little did they know there was more to come!
When we woke up this morning there was even more snow and we couldn’t wait to get out in it. We got back on our wet snow stuff from last night as started shoveling. Dave decided to re-live his childhood days and make a snow cave with all the snow we were shoveling. It’s not quite done, (since it has to sit overnight), but we have a great start.
After we shoveled our way out and got a start on the snow cave, we decided to venture out and take the pups to their favorite park. Not a soul had been to the park yet so it was so fun to be the first to drive through the fresh snow. The pups had the whole place to themselves.
Here are some pics of our snow adventures:
The snow on our deck around 8:30 Wednesday night
Dave trying to compact the snow cave
The beard acting as a web for some snowflakes
The snow was so wet and heavy!
The pups patiently waiting to go to the park
Awesome bird that was flying above us at the park
Fighting over the ball
This is the ramp leading down to Liberty Reservoir. We were driving and saw how pretty it was so we pulled over for some pics.
While driving we saw this AWESOME 4 tired snowman. Complete with real coal, and a real carrot nose!
We had such a fun day. As I type this blog my husband and two dogs are sound to sleep enjoying a much needed nap. I just checked the weather and we are supposed to get some more snow during the next 2 days. Woo hoo!

So so so cute! That picture of Bella is priceless! I love the one of them looking for the ball and fighting over it. I reminds of the one picture you took of Bella snarling and she looks like she's about to bite Oso's head off. I can't remember what it was from but it was hilarious. I forgot how pretty and quiet it is when it snows. It's the worst when it gets all dirty and melty. Can't wait for more from the man cave!!
Wait I forgot... the one of Oso running...freaking sweet! It's like he's floating. They had a blast no wonder they are so tired!
